About Hidden Local

Hidden Local is starting with a simple idea: the most memorable outings aren’t always the easiest to find. We’re building a digital map of unusual stops, overlooked places, and local favorites in southern Minnesota and northern Iowa.

Our plan pairs free discoveries with little location challenges, saved favorites, and shareable achievements. Optional adventure packs and clearly labeled local sponsorships will help support the map.

We’re early in the journey. Our first focus is finding genuinely worthwhile destinations, welcoming local contributors, and learning what makes people want to explore again—not promising overnight growth or a map of everywhere.
